BOA Award

Nominate your school or APIA organization for the MAASU BOA Award! Deadline for submission is February 3, 2007.

The award is given to on organization (or school) based on the following criteria:
1)   Demonstrates strong APIA awareness;
2)   Organizes new and quality programming (including social/cultural/education programs);
3)   Increases membership within organization;
4)   Works jointly with other APIA organizations; and
5)   Maintains strong involvement within MAASU.

MAASU CAN FOOD DRIVE - RESULTS

The Canned Food Drive is over and we have a winner! The University of Missouri won with the collection of 450 cans! The University of Michigan came in second with the collection of 124 cans! Thanks to all the schools for participating!

The Attapong P. Mellenthin Memorial Scholarship seeks to fund a summer internship coordinated by CAPAL in Washington, DC for an Asian Pacific American (APA) student with proven leadership skills and commitment to the APA community and who is attending any college or university that is a member in good standing of MAASU.

10.03.06 Organization of Chinese Americans (OCA) APIA U: Leadership 101 will be hosted by the University of Missouri - Columbia. On October 28-29, 2006, Asian Pacific Islander American college students will engage in an interactive college leadership program focused on self-awareness, team-building, and direct action organizing. The training is free and includes breakfast, lunch, and a light reception on Saturday. College students around the Midwest region are invited.
