Brief Intro
My name is My-Phuong - nickname Moof - and I am the programmer for this MAASU school year. HI hi! I'm a rising sophomore at UIUC and plan to major in marketing and business administration/management.
I hope everyone is being updated on the news about the earthquake and support us in our program(s) - more information to come soon.
For now, I stumbled across this one comic (when I was at work, shh!), which I find to ragingly hilarious, but also... something we as Asian Americans go though at some point in our life.
I think the people at the comic thinks he's a lego just because he's yellow. What does that type of thinking called....
a little more info: people usually call me mei-fang, the chinese pronunciation of my name. For those like me, I didn't know what Ellis Island meant... so I looked it up and decided to share the knowledge. Ellis Island is in NY and was the main location where immigrants came from. There, when trying to get their documents,the people in charge wouldn't be able to say their names so they gave them American names or butchered them.
